Hellsing : Ultimate Fan Guide (Vol. 1)

In Britain, vampires that were artificially created by implanting chips in their necks are attacking people. Dispatching them is the job of the Royal Order of Religious Knights, headed by the icy (and apparently female) Sir Integra Wingates Hellsinger. She is the descendant of the legendary vampire-hunter Dr. Abraham Van Helsing and because of her bloodline, she has control of a red-clad maliciously powerful vampire named Alucard. Alucard has become the top agent of the Hellsing agency, whose job is to protect the Queen of England from all sorts of undead rabble and monsters. During a mission, Alucard 'embraces' a female policewoman, making her a creature of the night as well. The policewoman, Ceres Victoria, struggles to accept her new undead form and this is the main theme of this anime.
